Christina & Abigail Meier

It started as a summer job for a nine-year-old.

Five years. Three hives to thirty-four. Then a storefront, because the car could not take another fair.

“There’s a lot of coffee around here, no honey. We’ve centralized ourselves here in Amherst to keep it real local.”

Christina Meier · Morning Journal, November 2025

Abigail wanted something to do in the summer. They took classes. They sold honey at fairs until there was no room left in the car. South Main is that overflow — a room you can lounge in, not a booth you walk past.

Come drink what you build. Take a jar home. Sit.

Before the store had walls. Fairs until the car was packed. The dog still shows up.

34 hives. Still a family job.

Christina and Abigail care for the bees. Jesse, Xander, Abigail, and Hot Mama are on the jars because they’re family. The long version is easier over a cup. Come sit.
